Impressive - Truly functional and durable!

This was my first time purchasing a product from Flow Designs so I was taking a risk here but I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed! This is not just a lip kit, it's a proper functioning splitter!

First of all the build quality of the splitter and the accessories is truly outstanding. You can tell immediately that this is meant to last a long time (I see why this is backed by a 10 year warranty). It took about 5 hours to get everything from the full lip splitter set (including most accessories) installed. The front lip is chassis mounted but does not require the bumper to be removed as described. Not that I expect to bang the splitter on bumps and potholes, but that's the reality of having splitter, they make unintended contact and could be damaged relatively easily. I am very glad to see Flow Designs building one of these to manage those typical day-to-day scenario of accidental scratches, scrapes and not fall apart. 5 starts for build quality.

Functionality: I am yet to drive this on the track or go on a proper spirited driving. Granted it will be generally difficult to measure how well the splitters, extensions and spats work but I can tell you this: the splitter is not just mounted to the bumper with some 3M tapes. This is chassis mounted with dozens of screws to make sure it'll well bolted on. The extensions and winglets (front, side and rear) are full adjustable to improve the aerodynamics of the car. It's not just for aesthetics (which it does really well) but it looks like this will help for better handling and performance at high speeds (on the track of course).

How does it look? Amazing. I'm not the biggest fan of the MK8 front stance, but boy does this complete that look and make it look the part. The black finish on the Lapiz blue is just stunning to look it. It carries the right amount of subtlety due to the adjustable feature of the extensions and winglets. I can rock an OEM+ look for daily driving and set up an all out stance for when I hit the track. The diffuser gives it a nice lowered stance from the rear too. This really completes the look of the MK8 Golf R.

Installation: We estimated this would take roughly two hours to install but it actually ended up about 5 hours. Like I mentioned earlier, this isn't just a glue on lip kit. It required mounting the car, taking some parts of, install screws etc. They do provide a good detailed instruction videos to guide the install process.

I purchased this through urotuning - you can see the pictures here (https://www.urotuning.com/pages/gallery-listing?id=6401fdfc3fb9abfcf1a4555b)
