MK7 Golf R Flow-Lock Rear Diffuser

This purchase was a replacement for a 2016 vintage, original Mk7 Golf R front splitter, that was damaged after being folded back under the car (and didn't spring back flat). Not blaming Flow for that, it was a pretty nasty fold back. Anyhow, the latest version certainly seen far more refined, with 14x, instead of 8x fasteners. Unfortunately, mine was shipped with two RHS drilling templates and with the front off the car, I was left to take a punt that the template could be reversed for the LHS (customer service on the weekends was a little slow, and I had the front bumper off the car when I discovered the mistake). The addition of the two steel support brackets (which were not on my OG version) make this rock solid. Function, good! Unfortunately, the assembly instructions and video tend to 'gloss over' how mind numbingly difficult it is to access the 8x nuts on the brackets (unless you have hands like a 5 year old). If these nuts were simply welded to the plates, or if the plates were threaded, attachment would be far simpler. I dread the day my mechanic needs to remove the front bumper, and reattach!

Looks and fits fantastic

It looks good. Was very annoyed that the install parts (nuts and bolts) where not the right ones as described on the instructions… which made the install much nore difficult.
